Where do you live, study or work? Insider knowledge is what we're all looking for and Day12 is where backpackers can give each other the inside scoop. If you've done any travelling yourself, you'll know what backpackers are looking for when they arrive in YOUR home town. Write and tell us about your favourite beach, bar, cafe or club. The best part of town, or the worst. |

Jervis Bay, New South Wales

|

Jervis Bay is a gorgeous maritime park about three hours south of Sydney. Deep water reefs, sea and sponge gardens, great surfing, beaches with the whitest sand in the world, tame kangaroos and rosellas, and lots of true blue Aussies. If I hadn't grown up here, I'd call it paradise! It's a great place to recharge your batteries and travellers can really get in touch with the Australian people and wildlife here. more... |

Otama Beach is 20 minutes by car north of my home in Whitianga. When I take people there their

transport will get you there, but rental cars are cheap and available in
Whitianga. Don't be put off by the narrow and winding gravel roads, just keep
left and take it easy! And bring your fishing gear to catch big snapper at
sunset! more... |

and The most important of these lifelines, and without doubt My favourite place, is istiklal Street. No matter where you take a transportation, you can reach Taksim easily. If Istanbul were an independent state, its capital would probably be Taksim... more... |
