Welcome to the DAY12 Phrase Book
KOREAN
Compiled
for The
DAY12 Phrasebook
by Joerg
Klenert (New Zealand)
The
DAY12 Phrase
Book has been
lovingly compiled by Day12
readers from around the world to arm you with a few words
and phrases for your next destination. From
basic vocabulary such as 'Yes',
'No' and 'Thank-you',
and simple structures like, 'Where
is the..?' and 'How much is
this?' to the more advanced, 'I'm
bored of talking. Shall we
go to bed?' and 'Is that a
ghost?!', The
DAY12 Phrase
Book will help
you get by with the minimum of fuss and the maximum of fun.
Enjoy,
or as they say in France,
'Cafe
au lait!'

Pronunciation:
Korean vowels can be a bit tricky and it would be impossible to adequately
express, in text, the correct pronunciation of the phrases
below, so to avoid being misinterpreted by the old woman
at the bus stop, can we suggest you use the printable version
to break the ice on your next train journey and have a local
talk you through the correct pronunciation? And
if they suggest any useful phrases, let us know and we'll
add them to the list.
Do
you speak a language that doesn't appear here? Email
us at morethanfootprints@day12.com
and we'll send you the template for this page. You
can also get in touch if you have ideas for any words or
phrases we've missed.
