I pretty much fell in love with this super funny little girl while visiting with kids at the Drop-In centre. these kids aren't in school. It's not uncommon for large families to only be able to afford to send one child to school. The rest of the kids need to work to help the family financially. Most of the kids in these pictures live on the street with no parents. Many of them are orphans, with drug abuse and disease having taken their parents. some of them have simply been abandoned by their parents because they are either too expensive, or the parents think they will have a better chance fending for themselves. There's a group of 9 children who set up a tarp across the street from the guesthouse I was staying at. That's where they sleep everynight. The streets are littered with garbage and at night after the market, there are about a dozen children eating garbage off of the ground.
